Code of Ethics

Cumberland County Home Builders Association takes pride in the ethics of our members. Home buyers have a right to expect ethical treatment from their builders, just as builders have a right to expect ethical treatment from their buyers.

As members in good standing with the Cumberland County Home Builders Association, we believe in, and accept, the responsibilities and obligations inherent in the home building profession. Basic to these ethical beliefs, we support :

• Conducting business affairs with honesty, professionalism, and skill.
  
• Providing the best housing value possible.
  
• Protecting consumers through the use of quality materials and construction practices backed by integrity and service.
  
• Providing housing with high standards of safety, sanitation and livability.
  
• Meeting financial obligations in a responsible manner.
  
• Complying with the spirit and letter of business contracts, and managing employees, subcontractors and suppliers with fairness and honor.
  
• Complying with the codes and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety and welfare of the community.
  
• Dealing fairly with all members of the public and profession regardless of race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion or sex.
